Hi! I’m Sara Watterson, a YA author and former freelance web and graphic designer. I love online marketing, advertising, social media, web publishing, and design almost as much as I love writing. This love drives me to help other authors and is why I started a virtual assistant service for authors.

Not only am I a graphic and web designer, but I’m also a self-published author, so I have first-hand experience with the entire process.
I have years of experience as a profitable blogger. Think SEO, keywords, web design, graphic design, etc. And all in the book world! (See my website, www.bookseriesrecaps.com, where I now host an average of 60,000 visitors a month. Because of this website, I’m also uniquely positioned to promote YA series authors in particular.)

Who I’m looking to work with:
- Fiction or non-fiction authors who live in the United States.
- Authors who have professionally designed book covers (I am not a cover designer, but I only wish to work with authors who have invested in professional, to-market book covers.)
- I work from home, so if I wouldn’t want my teenage children to read your book or see your marketing messages or imagery, I cannot work for you.
Services I offer:
- Creation of graphics for web, social media, or anything
- Social media management and/or research for posts
- Assist in book launch tasks
- Create or update your WordPress website, including SEO, keywords, contact forms, connecting a mailing list, image formatting, aesthetics, analytics, spam prevention & security
- Manage or help with Mailchimp or Mailerlite and design emails
- Manage Amazon Ads and conduct keywords research and ad optimization
- Format manuscripts into print-ready epubs
- Help with KDP, including keywords, description suggestions, A+ content, and price promotions
- Set books up with Ingram Spark
- Help you come up with blog ideas that will drive traffic (keywords, SEO, etc.) and repurpose these ideas into social media posts
- Make slides for a presentation

Availability
Hire a virtual assistant for an indie author
I’m available at an hourly rate either on an as-needed basis during your busy periods or for a dedicated amount of time each week or month.
Hourly rate: $30 per hour billed by the 6th of an hour
Billing: I bill weekly on Fridays via Venmo, CashApp, or Paypal
Special offer
My hourly rate is $30 an hour, but I would like to offer three hours of work at half price ($15 per hour) as a test run of my services. During this time, I can create graphics, work on your website, research keywords, help brainstorm ideas, or do anything listed above!
