Are you looking for holiday romance books without spice? Me too! I may write young adult fantasy, but I love to read from a wide range of genres, including Christmas novels. Over the last few holiday seasons, I’ve read several clean Christmas rom-com books, and I thought you might like to see my list. I have a few go-to authors who write no-spice romance, and below are some of their holiday novels.
At Christmastime, I watch lots of fabulous holiday rom-com movies, and I read even more clean Christmas rom-com books. So grab a cup of your favorite hot drink and a fuzzy blanket and curl up with one of these suggestions.

I love the fake dating trope, and Eva Austin’s novel, called My Favorite Color is Mistletoe, didn’t disappoint! Eva’s book is a clean Christmas college romance that can be enjoyed by both adults and teens. Her bio says, she “writes contemporary novels for readers who want to be swept away in a fun, light-hearted, and sweet love story.”
Courtney Walsh
Courtney Walsh is one of my favorites! I highly recommend her novels if you’re looking for a clean Christmas romance. She’s written 20+ books, and several are holiday-themed. Her bio says, “She writes small-town romance and women’s fiction…Courtney is a Carol Award winner and Christy Award finalist…” I’ve loved all her books I’ve read so far.
Melanie Jacobson
Melanie Jacobson‘s bio says she’s “an avid reader, amateur cook, and champion shopper. She consumes astonishing amounts of chocolate, chick flicks, and romance novels.” Scrooge and the Girls Next Door is one of my favorite Christmas books on this page!
Emma St. Clair
Another no-spice author who consistently stands out when I search for clean Christmas rom-com books is Emma St. Clair. Here’s what her author bio says: “Emma St. Clair is a USA Today Bestselling Author who loves sassy heroines, witty banter, and love stories with heart and humor.” Here are a few of her books, though she has many more.
