Wow! I can’t believe April is almost over! I’m loving the warmer weather and more time spent outside. This time of year, I’m often sitting on the back patio with my laptop and a cup of coffee. That’s where I am now, and today I wanted to compose a special invitation for you!
My debut novel, This Dreamer, launches on May 3rd, and my family and I are ready to celebrate! We are throwing a launch party / book signing on the evening of May 8th. If you’re in the Edmond, OK area, please stop by the Ellis Island Coffee Lounge on South Bryant between 7:00 & 9:00 p.m. We would love to see you! We’ll have a few books available, yummy snacks, and, of course, you’re welcome to purchase coffee and treats at the coffee bar!

Did you know my friend and I run a website called Book Series Recaps! We write recaps and reviews, interview authors, and create book lists for readers. Our most popular list is called Clean YA Books for Teens, Tweens, or anyone. (Clean, meaning no language or sexual situations.) This page gets about 1000 hits a week, and the mailing list has grown to over 2000 recipients! This week I interviewed two authors who, like me, are committed to writing clean books. Newbie Author MomentsIf you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you may have seen visual proof that I’m a newbie author! I nerded out over obtaining a Goodreads author page, and I had to restrain myself from posting about the fact that you could search for me on Amazon, and something would pop up! (Of course, you can find me on Amazon. I’m selling a book, for goodness sake!)
But I couldn’t help myself from posting a few photos of me holding, for the first time, a book I’d written! I may have conducted a mini photoshoot! Here are a few snapshots from when my proof copy and then my hardback first arrived.
